Open Educational Resources

My excuse for not having a day 2 entry is that it was so busy and full that there really wasn't time to post an entry.

Well here we are on day 3, the final day of the conference. Unlike some conferences this has really signified a revolution of sorts and cemented the fact that OER is here and now it's official!

Last night we had a meal in the Great Hall at Clare College (see image) and that felt very fitting that we were involved in such a new approach to educational ownership in what in effect is a very traditional educational setting.

What I have particularly liked about this conference is that although in many respects the conference is an output for projects which are all ending in April the mood and feeling is that actually this is the start of something. I have found this to be very refreshing, despite the fact that the projects will cease to exist in their funded form there is very much the sense that this is in fact the end of the beginning.

Congratulations JISC, a call which will most definitely see long term impact way beyond the project timeframe.
