Creative Commons - Resources.

Recently a number of staff have been asking about creative commons and searching for such content. Below are a list of links and descriptions to help staff get started. The use of CC licensed materials in teaching and learning materials is preferred for inclusion in the Unicycle project as use as OER.

Alternatively all other materials should be cleared as part of the IPR process which was hotly debated at a recent meeting. The JISC IPR toolkit (available in the documents section) is… Continue

Round Up

I thought that as we come to the end of month 3 of the project I would try and sum up where we are. Since the start of the project I have been conscious that we really need to be prepared as a team for September, knowing that we have OER content available is very important.

The news came to my attention in an email on the OER-INST mailing list which said that the move was to ensure that… Continue

JISC Digital Content Conference

I primarily came to this conference to see how the "digitisation" process may impact on the implementation of the uk oer projects currently underway.

There have been some useful interactions and talks. Useful support for staff wishing to engage in the creation and sourcing of digital content can be found at:

http://www.jiscdigitalmedia.ac.uk/

What is apparent during the digitisation process is that IPR and ownership has and still remains to be an issue. I am… Continue
